SYMBOLIC CLASH
The clash of symbols trickles down my spine A crescendo effect masking my ‘I’m fines’
I crafted these words as part of write club. This was my first session and it was guided by the inspiring Nisha Ramayya. Nisha, both a poet and a teacher in Creative Writing at Queen Mary University of London, set forth a task before us: immerse ourselves in the music of Pauline Oliveros and let our pens dance across the pages for a continuous twenty minutes. Pauline Oliveros was an influential American composer and pioneer of "Deep Listening," exploring experimental music and sound perception. Her work revolutionised how we engage with auditory experiences.
From this sonorous meditation, the concept of Symbolic Clash was birthed.
